Come meet our feathery neighbors with local birder and poet Indigo Goodson-Fields. After we finish birdwatching, eco-futurist designer Lily Saporta Tagiuri will lead in constructing salvaged-material bird feeders to nourish our new friends.

A panel on alternative mapping, hidden pathways, and contemporary cartography.

For our first event of the summer we are hosting a panel on alternative ways of mapping, moderated by Lily Consuelo Saporta Tagiuri (3x almanac contributor!). Lily will facilitate a discussion with Canal Street Research Association, Lauren Hudson, and Lucía Cozzi on the many ways they think about and portray space in their work.

In this two hour pottery workshop you will be led through the process of handbuilding a small vessel. We will be using pinching and impressing to create form and surface texture. When we sit still to drink tea we become aware of the smells, tastes, and sounds around us. We will be working to establish this same awareness through the creation of a unique tea cup.
